Playboy Playmate Penny Baker is a dazzling blonde beauty whose All-American good looks made her a popular choice as the magazine's 30th Anniversary Playmate. Penny was born on October 5, 1965 on a farm just south of Buffalo, New York. She grew up as very much a country girl, living near the woods on a farming spread that featured pigs, chickens, horses and cows. Even as a young girl growing up in the country, Penny always knew that she wanted to be a model. Her parents were very supportive -- her mother drove an hour a day to take Penny to modeling classes in Buffalo from the time Penny was thirteen years old. Penny started appearing in local ads, and after only two years of experience she entered -- and won -- the Modeling Association of America International Competition. The win got Penny all kinds of modeling offers, but she decided to finish high school first. Penny was an excellent student, and graduated from high school early at the age of sixteen. She then moved to New York City to pursue her dream, living in a loft with several other struggling models. After about a year of limited success, Penny decided to try moving to Chicago. There, the ad industry was actively seeking out wholesome-looking All-American gals, while in New York the fashion scene was dominated by rail-thin European types. The move to Chicago proved to be a good one. Penny submitted photos everywhere, including Playboy's offices. To her surprise, she was named the magazine's 30th Anniversary Playmate, her pictorial appearing in January 1984. She spent the next few years traveling all over the globe promoting the magazine, while getting a fledgling acting career started. Penny eventually settled in Los Angeles, with the goal of becoming an actress. She met with some success, landing parts in a brief run of b-movies like 'Calendar Girl Murders' (1984), 'The Men's Club' (1986) and the 1987 Eddie Deezen/Rick Overton vehicle 'Million Dollar Mystery.' Her most memorable role, though, was probably her cameo as Ick's party date in 1985's 'Real Genius.' After some time trying to break into acting, Penny decided to call it a day. She moved back east and attended the University of Buffalo, where she attained a degree in communications, graduating with honors. She started her own marketing company in Buffalo, then moved it to Toronto a few years later. We're betting that she's the sexiest marketing consultant in the Great White North
