Elisa was born on May 24, 1973 in Miami, Florida, the daughter of an American father and Cuban-born mother. Elisa became Playmate of the Month in May 1993 and her stunning good looks made her an instant sensation among the mag's readers. Elisa's story came to a tragic end on February 7, 2002, when she was found dead of an accidental drug overdose. She had been staying at the luxurious mansion of Edward Nahem, a long-time acquaintance of Hugh Hefner. Nahem found Elisa dead in bed when he came home that evening. The official coroner's report listed her cause of death as "acute intoxication by the combined effects of heroin, methamphetamine, meperidine and Alprazolam." Elisa Bridges was 29 years old.
