Patrick Collins Wins "Hall of Fame" Award:
Patrick Collins, owner of Elegant Angel Productions, was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame at the 17th Annual X-Rated Critics Organization awards, held on Thursday April 5th, at The Century Club in Century City CA.
Tim Connelly, who presented Patrick with his award, praised Patrick for his ground breaking work in the porn industry. Tim explained how he first met
Patrick, when Patrick was the Sales Manager at a little company called Evil Angel. He also pointed out how Patrick's ideas and dreams were to make the most realistic porn movies in the industry. Patrick had taken Tim to the set of Where The Girls Sweat, where Tim expressed how astounded he was at the way Patrick was able to capture the essence of raw sex on film.
Since then Patrick Collins has moved on to create his own company, Elegant Angel, and produced such award winning movies, as the Sodomania series and The Bottom Dweller. These movies, among others, have set the standard for other movie Producers and Directors to follow.
Patrick gracefully accepted his award, and went on to express that half of
the credit should go to his cameraman Mike Cates. Cates, who as has been with Collins since the very beginning, shares Pat's vision in creating movies. Pat also credited John Stagliano, owner of Evil Angel, for giving him a chance to get into the industry and for teaching him how to become a great producer. And to Bruce Seven, who, where ever his soul may be, was also a great teacher in molding the Patrick Collins that we all know today.
