Robby D Come on. I like the Celeste stuff. I don’t know that I could jerk off to it, but I like it.
Roger T. Pipe Let’s talk about your stuff.
Robby D I’m going to try and do some new stuff. I can’t do much with “Control” because it has no rules, but I want to try new things. I’m looking around at the screens today and there is so much moving camera stuff that I don’t think I like it any more. I might go back to more of a cinematic approach and keep the same horniness.
Roger T. Pipe What about the slow motion and no dialog?
Robby D Here is what I figured out. No one ever complains about that stuff in an Andrew Blake movie. When Andrew Blake shoots with a film camera at 48 frames per second you pick up double the detail that you get at 24. It isn’t that it’s just slower; it’s the added detail that makes it hot. The stuff we use for the Celeste movies duplicates it pretty well, but it is mimicking the first frame and doubling it. We don’t see the details in the Devon and Jesse movies that we’re doing for the Celeste movies. I think that the guys watching are not picking up on the fact that it slow motion and they are wondering where the audio is. When they see Blake, their mind tells them that there shouldn’t be audio.
Roger T. Pipe Wow, what a film geek answer that was. Isn’t it simpler than that? Guys just don’t jerk off in slow motion.
Robby D You haven’t jerked off to Andrew Blake?
Roger T. Pipe Not really.
Robby D But his solos are so hot.
Roger T. Pipe Slow motion is great for tease, but when you have Janine on a butcher block being fucked by Mandingo, don’t slow that down.
Robby D Maybe we can go with a narrated Celeste project thing. Celeste has a great sense of style and I have never seen anyone who can make a movie look the way she does. She can look at a fashion magazine and memorize it immediately. She knows exactly how she wants her scenes to look and she is always one step ahead of the fashion world. She dresses me so I don’t walk around in a baseball jersey all the time like some people.
Roger T. Pipe In addition to part in the making of Pirates, you made a dramatic casting choice this year for “Jack’s Playground 28.”
Robby D Let me tell you about the guys in that movie. We had to sell off some stuff to hire Gram Ponante and Rog from RogReviews.com. You guys weren’t cheap.
Roger T. Pipe We were easy, but not cheap.
Robby D Indeed.
Roger T. Pipe Can we push Gram for best non-sex performance? I was there, but he was simply awesome.
Robby D You were both awesome. I have these two editors who are so mainstream and secluded from porn that they see things in a different light. They have this tremendous sense of humor and love inside jokes. A lot of our projects are humor to please ourselves. Sometimes it goes a little too far, but we try to see who can make each other laugh. There is also a more personal relationship with some of the reviewers. I go to your site every day and when I come into the office we talk about what you’re writing about. I think that it’s cool to tie that in. If you can find guys who are cool enough to go along with the jokes and goof back, then it’s a lot of fun. This industry can drag you down if you don’t laugh. We have a great group of guys who laugh and I love it.
Roger T. Pipe Let’s talk about “Control.” I saw a clip of that when I was in the office.
Robby D I am very pumped about this project. I’m a big fan of porn and I love it. I watch it all the time and I’m over some of the boring product. You have a company putting out thirty titles of the same thing. I wanted a movie with no rules. My first experience with a girl is generally in “Jack’s Playground.” I find out what a girl can really do and then I move her into a “Teen America.” By the time they get to “Control” I know what they can do. I know how far I can push Lanny Barbie or what I can get from Keri Sable. I want to say that “Control” is all about the consumer, but it’s really about me giving the consumer something that I personally think is hot. I’m getting bored with some of my favorites and I think that this line will change a lot of that. I hope that it opens the door for other guys to do better in the same way Jules opened the door for a lot of us to get better. I want to see better product because I like to jerk off. There are no rules with it. If some of it turns out the same, so be it. I want you to get it and not know what to expect.
Roger T. Pipe You haven’t been this excited about a project in a while.
Robby D I got into porn because I used to love Tuesday. Every Tuesday the new stuff came out and I was there for new Stagliano or Leslie. I couldn’t wait. I want someone to feel that way about my stuff.
Roger T. Pipe Not gonna happen, but you can dream.
Robby D Bastard. So much for my excitement.
Roger T. Pipe In all seriousness this should be a big line for you.
Robby D It’s hard to beat the line up in the first one. Lanny Barbie, Jade Hsu, Rita Faltoyano, blowjobs, solos everything. In the second movie we have Nautica Thorn doing tease that will blow you away. You can’t look at it without your dick getting hard. I intercut that stuff between the other scenes and it cuts away quickly. In the end you get to see her. I am really excited about the movies.
Roger T. Pipe Anything else?
Robby D Yeah, I want to point something out to you. You got all over my guys for calling Melanie Jagger a pig, which started out as “fuck pig” as in the kind of pig we all want to fuck, but some of your Rog Picks aren’t exactly complimentary to women. Cum Gaping Fuck Holes?
Roger T. Pipe You know I’m not a big fan of the titles, but “slut” and “whore” are acceptable terms of endearment in this business. Pig implies something else.
Robby D Sometimes the sense of humor doesn’t work. We had a meeting about that and I lost. I think it should have been fuck pig, but they went with pig. There was no disrespect meant at all.
Roger T. Pipe And you cleared that up so well in our skit.
Robby D You guys were great. We’re going to bring you back to smash more stuff this year.
Roger T. Pipe That was probably the highlight of my year, smashing that monitor was great.
Robby D That was so much fun and we’ll do it again.
Roger T. Pipe To cover our Pirates quota, are you proud of the work you did on that movie?
Robby D Of course. It was a chance for Joone and I to really push things and try the limitations on HD. For me, it was a great chance to do something special from a cinematography standpoint.
