Starring: Jamie Gillis, Jerry Butler, Tina Ross, Monique Gabrielle, Shauna Grant. All the actors cleraly had their sights on Hollywood, and their acting performances showed that they cared. (Ultimately, Monique Gabrielle--billed here as Luana Chass--did achieve fame in B movies. )
Filmed for the big screen, the film showed a professionalism not normally seen in porn taday. I'd say it was up to late night basic cable standards. Cut out the sex and it could air on "USA UP ALL NIGHT".
The film was 50% teaser, with a lot of flashing, 25% R-rated, and 25% X-rated, mostly towards the end. There's too much sex for Cinemax, but too little to qualify as real porno today. (The first cum shot is over an hour into the feature!). There were several geuine erotic moments, though, and 2 good, solid sex scenes. Other sex scenes were relatively tepid and/or ended prematurely.
It was charming as a period piece--more genuine than Boogie Nights, and with way more sex. In the teasing spirit of the film, seeing beautiful good girl Monique Gabrielle get it on by the end of the film was satisfying.
None of the hard core sex scenes involved the top-billed women. Though she gave us some pretty close-ups, Shauna Grant (on the box cover) peformed in only one sex scene, and that one is cut short.
Would this be a good couples film? Maybe if your girl likes dumb movies, and though Boogie Nights was a hoot--but she won't go for hard core porn--this could fit the bill. It is funny. As a stroke film, however, I can't give it more than a 3.
