Starring: Susanna Britton, Kaviar, Blair Castle, Jacqueline Lorians all perform their sex scenes beautifully. Unbelievably, there are only four scenes in the entire movie to show off their prowess. However, they credibly play big city girls who get in trouble in a small hick town. Honey Wilder and the ubiquitous Ron Jeremy have nice supporting roles.
Even by the golden age's lofty standards, the production values are incredible. This seems like a Smokey and the Bandit ripoff (with Ron Jeremy as the sheriff), which isn't an insult. There are car chases, car crashes, total location shooting, and exterior sets built for the express purpose of being bulldozed on-screen or crashed into by automobiles. This is actual movie making. Unfortunately, the director doesn't know how to shoot suck scenes ina compelling manor, they're not exciting to watch, only ponderous at best.
All that production design subtracts from an attractive cast and a few good sex scenes. To show off all the car stuff, they've stripped the movie of any eroticism. There's no effort to build sexual momentum or heat, the very little sex seems shoehorned into the film and doesn't connect with the story.
Susannah Britton, her scene in the barn is wonderfully hot; more scsene like that and this tape would be a must have. If this woman stayed in porn, she might have been one of the all-time greats. Her other film Blonde Goddess, another high budget affair, is one of the two or three best pornos ever made.
The lame car crashes and stunts, and the complete lack of sex. I didn't expect a modern day wall to wall job, but there is an incredible amount of time and space in between the four short sex scenes. They should have spent more time shooting the women and sex and less shooting cars and anonymous stunt people.
While I usually admire the attempt for claasic porn for real filmmaking, here it just wastes a talented cast. One sex scene from the stunning Susannah Britton is not enough. Obstensibly, this is really not a porn film, rather a B-movie with a little hardcore sex. Even by those standards it only merits a 2.
