Starring: Joey Silvera stars as Josh, a San Francisco TV commercial director whose schedule is, shall we say, a bit overbooked. He likes to relax with a pretty lady now and then, both at home and on frequent trips to Europe, but as often as not his sexual liasons turn to merde. This 1984 film, directed by F. J. Lincoln, features several seldom-seen pornstresses. "Gabriella" (one of a number of Euro ladies using that nom-de-smut) is gorgeous, if a bit subdued, and apprently never made another porno, at least that I can find. This also was the U. S. debut, it seems, of Teresa Orlowski, a busty Polish lady who burned it up in German porn during the mid-80s. "Go For It" is one of the few available films of Tina Marie (billed here as "Victoria Jackson"), antoher busty sensation of the mid-80s. There's also Shannon, a cute pre-op transsexual (billed after her op as "Catherine Crystal"), and another one-shot wonder, Isolde. Veteran pornstresses Tiffany Clark, Becky Savage, and Jennifer West add to the heat, along with sturdy studs Jon Martin, Billy Dee, Nick Niter, and Michael Morrison. (For completists, fan faves Tigr, Sondra Stillman, and "Terry Morgan"--who looke very much like Tamara Longley--have brief non-sex cameos. ) The acting performances are in keeping with the material--neither distinguished nor embarrassing.

They spent a bit of money on this one, shooting both in San Francisco an on location in Germany. The Eurosets, especially, are opulent, and the cinematography is quite serviceable.

Some of the sex scenes are very hot, others more routine. Jon and Becky enjoy a poolside tryst, and Becky later joins Joey and Isolde in a decent threesome. Joey meets Gabriella auf Deutsch and has a tender coupling with her. She follows him back to the Bay but grows lonely while he works too hard. She resorts to her fingers, then visits a working-class tavern for a hot gangbang with Billy, Nick, and Mike the Bartender. Joey's next paramour is Tiffany, and it looks like love -- until Tiff comes home to find Victoria in Joey's shower. (It's not what it seems, but that's the end of that affair. ) Actually, Victoria's sexual fires are lit by Jon in a fairly hot scene. Joey goes back to Germany one more time, swearing "No More Women. " He rejects an advance from a luscious redhead, only to succumb to the advances of Lady Teresa, who treats him to a backdoor surprise and takes his load on her beautiful kisser. Lincoln saves the best for last, and none of the scenes are less than arousing.

The cast of seldom-seen women and great porn vets, the nice use of European settings, the crisp cinematography.

Some of the performers could have exhibited a little more enthusiasm -- e. g. , Gabriella -- and Lincoln should have avoided interrupting the sex scenes with intercuts from other scenes. Some viewers might find the plot sequence a little baffling -- I still do. AND: Some viewers might be disturbed by the scene in which pre-op TS Shannon is fellated by, and the royally rogers, Jennifer West. But their enjoyment is contagious.

The story is no great shakes, the romance factor is slight, some of the sex scenes are flatter than they should have been -- yet this is pretty slick prono for its time. And the parade of hot, seldom-seen ladies makes it more special for fans of The Golden Age. Rating: 7
