Hey, there are two discs in this set and the feature is only ninety minutes. All of the bonus material are on disc two. There are a lot, so we'll run through them quickly. We've got a blooper reel, trailers for other A & E titles, Bios, Web Info and other professional material. Additionally, both orgy scenes are re-cut giving us additional footage for both. Director Bud Lee and Asia do an interesting interview together. The two bonus scenes on this disc are complete scenes from (I believe) other movies. Asia and Michael J Cox hook up in a very hot scene. (More pure stroke value in this than any scene in the movie itself.) Johnni Black takes on Brick Majors and Valentino in another very hot scene. Great bonus materials on this disc, giving us great background on Appassionata as well as some highly strokeable extra scenes.

This is one of those movies that I've heard a lot about, but never actually seen. I know Asia was very proud of it when it came out, talked about actually playing the piano in the flick and that it was the talk of the town among couples porn fans I know. From the opening credits, it looks like it is going to be one of those big budget, costume flicks that often ignore sexual heat in favor of mainstream sensibilities. Hopefully, that won't be the case this time. If this opening piano number is the performance Asia was talking about, then she's musically talented to be sure. What I wonder is whether the sexual adventures of Mozart is really what the average porn fan is looking for. (Clearly not, but if it scores with the couples market, then that's saying a lot.)

Marc Davis is the legendary composure and he is caught in a love tryst with a love prodigy played by Asia. She is betrothed to the King of Norway, but in love with her 'Wolfy.' Of course, this is just going on in Asia's mind as she auditions for a job as a studio musician. Unfortunately, the world isn't looking for any classical pianists and she looks to be out of luck. She lucks into a ride wit a struggling artist, Alex Sanders. Their stories are similar and they hit it off. Over a campfire, they discuss sexual politics, dreams and this rich old guy who puts up struggling artists at his place. When Asia retires to the van, Alex plays the guitar by the fire. In a few minutes, he is accosted by Johnni Black and Holy Body. It seems he's a bit of a player who uses the whole artist/musician thing to lure girls into bed. They are a little miffed, but mostly just want to share him. Now, I've always been one to enjoy a good porn script, and I know how hard it is to get any sort of character development going, but isn't twenty minutes before the first sex scene a little long? In the dim light of the campfire, Holy and Johnni pass Alex's cock back and forth. Bubble boobed Holy gets most of the action which is probably a bad idea since Johnni always brings great sexual heat to a scene. He does finally take Johnni doggy style, ramming her pussy and even filling the ass of this ex-Army baby with the rock hard buttocks. Back in Asia's dreams, she watches as an old fashioned bachelor party. As the wise old men present their young friend with a bevy of beauties, Asia and Davis get friendly behind a nearby tree. With all of the wigs, elaborate costumes and long shots, it's impossible to tell who the women are, but there are three of them, each servising a guy with her mouth and then with her pussy. Roxanne Hall is in the mix and I think Liza Harper is another of the willing wenches. This is a scene strictly for those of you who like frilly, softcore smut.

When they arrive at the rich guy's house, Asia and Alex are shown in by sexy maid Roxanne Hall. It's clear this guy is doing more than just supporting the arts. He's got a whole collection of hot chicks by the pool, all doing each other while one lucky sucks his cock. Just when things are getting hot outside, the millionaire, (Mike Horner) come in to talk to his two new friends. The deal is a good one, except for Alex. Horner does house and care for artists, but he doesn't take any male artists under his wing. When she hears that there are some sexual strings attached, Asia refuses. She wants to do things based on her talent, not just her body.

Alex has an uncle who owns a club so they hit the road again. As they drive off, we go back to the pool for another big orgy scene. This time, it's just Horner and a bunch of girls committing acts of veggie love on each other. Raylene is in there, so is Laura Palmer, but things move back and forth so quickly it's hard to tell who is doing what to who. At least there is good lighting this time and no wigs to get in the way. Mike is banging away on LeeAnna Heart, finally unloading on her face.

The budding romance between Alex and Asia finally comes to head as they camp beside the road. They tear their clothes from one another before climbing into the van for their first fuck. It looks like there might be some good sexual energy here, but the slow piano music in the background just doesn't go along with the visual. Asia looks great, but I've seen much hotter scenes from this lovely woman. Alex drills her in the back of his van, unloading on her pretty ass, but somehow manages to keep his dick out of her mouth.

There are twists and turns that bring us to the end, but we get a final scene between fantasy Asia and her Wolfy. I think she just really wanted toget down and dirty in those fancy costumes at least once. After going way down town on his beautiful co-star, Marc gets to lie back and blowjob that looks fantastic. He moves behind her for some spooning that is actually reall well shot and rather hot. If more scenes in the movie were like this one, I think it would have been much hotter. Davis pulls out of her pussy and leaves a very big load right above her well trimmed bush. Nice shot Marc, but you missed by about two and a half feet.

There is no question that some effort went into the production of this movie. Good costumes, pretty locations and a soundtrack that is far above the porn norm are all very impressive. Sexually, the movie is flat at best, perhaps appealing to a couples market that is really dying for a lot of shadowy, mostly soft scenes. Asia does a very good job carrying the dialogue and her two sex scenes aren't bad. She looks great and gives about as much energy as is possible from this kind of scene. Asia also deserves a great deal of credit for doing the music in this movie. I'm sure there aren't many women in porn who can play like this. That does leave one question though. Is porn with classical music better than porn with cheesy seventies pseudo funk? Or tiny eighties syntho-pop? High makes for style and class, but low marks for sexual heat make this symphony that just keeps missing a beat.
