Starring: This fun sex romp apes Neil Simon's "California Suite" with a series of vignettes revolving the antics inside Suite #69. It stars Jerry Butler, Paul Thomas, Jamie Summers, Shanna McCullough, Viper, and Buck Adams among many others.
The silly plot requires nothing demanding of the sets. It's all up to the actors and writing, and they deliver.
It's a hot one, though the stories vary in quality. The opener is a lightweight lark. Viper plays a maid who discovers the room occupied by a suicidal lovesick Paul Thomas. Not surprisingly, she helps him find a reason to keep going. Then Jamie Summers and Jerry Butler show up as a couple disagreeing on whether or not to have kids. That all the characters have a tinge of reality makes the sex that much more arousing.
Among the best tales: attorney Joey Silvera arrives at the hotel to have client Siobhan Hunter sign divorce papers. It turns out he's had a crush on her since high school. Will he finally get his chance to score? What do you think? Still, it's a neat little story about the pain of old love and how our fantasies never pan out as we'd hoped.
It's a jerky set-up that never builds to a real climax, and the Buck Adams/Jeanette Littledove story is too sill to create sparks.
An 8. It's worth seeing or the fun characters, but the steamy sex they create.
