I have reviewed some disappointing efforts of late so this will be refreshing. Sometimes when things are bad, you have to look back to see how good they once were. With so many young directors influenced by Buttman movies, we have seen plenty of imitators over the years, but few have come close to the kind of sexual heat his gonzo movies have provided. This is one of his great Brazilian adventures. Back before the Latin craze, John would go down to Brazil and shoot incredible women who we would never see again. So this collection of babes probably doesn't include any household names, but before we are finished, we will know certain parts of their anatomy by heart.

If this movie looks unlike the stuff we see today that is probably because few people are able to shoot true gonzo this well. There are some really great asses here, but don't look for anal action. This is a butt movie and not a sphincter stretching exercise. The lighting isn't always perfect and neither are the angles. That's going to happen with real gonzo though. It can be disastrous, but when it flows correctly it is great. Stagliano is one of the very best in the business at reading a scene, letting his talent go at it and capturing things as they happen. We have seen better collections of women and even better sex, but turning back the clock like this makes me realize how much I miss really good gonzo porn.
