Starring: Ballsy, sexy Sharon Kane has been a porn staple since the early seventies when she played under a host of names. Her performances, usually hard-edged, have given a spine to some of the weakest films. But she's frequently taken for granged. "Swinger's Ink," a small but solid effort from a decade ago, is the perfect Sharon Kane vahicle. In it, she workds for a swinger's magazine where her constant clashes with photographer Scott St. James lead to some scorching sex. If only the film revolves around her.
Picture and sound are solid. The story, about publisher Jon Dough's attempt to sell the mag to Tracey Adams, is a light-weight farce about pretending to be someone you're not.
Overall, it's hot in a playful way. In one of the better scenes, Dough plots with Champagne to disquise her as a wealthy advertiser. They conclude the deal with a vigorous, but standard, hump session.
The best scenes, however, involve Sharon. Her twosomes with St. James bruise with passion. Even better: Sharon heads for a bar and onto Randy Spears' tool to douse her feelings for Scott. It's tougher than she believes.
The plot is a little too complicated to be delivered, and Doughs's attempt to get into Tracey's pants lacks the same drive as the Sharon/Scott coupling.
Still, it's worth tracking down. A 7.
