Starring: We've had a number of peeks behind the scenes of the porn industry. The best have the natural look of a documentary, like John Leslie's "The Rehearsal. " Others, especially those that focus on the casting couch, are best forgotten. But few are as charming as this one from a decade ago. It stars porn regulars Mike Horner, Tom Byron, Nina Hartley, Sunny McKay, Cameo, Cal Jammer, and Jennifer Stewart as they reflect on the fun of life as sex performer.
Simple, yet well-shot. There's no great need for extravagance since the story is so human and personal.
The heat flows from the actors (supossedly) being themselves. Byron's exhilaration at finally being able to fuck Jennifer Stewart captures the actor's sexual zest, while watching Mike Horner's lust for a threesome with Nina and Sunny is another scene filled with sexual anticipation.
That the actor's emotions seem real. Tom Byron's energy is boundless. And Jennifer is wonderful guiding her charging stallion. That's almost topped by the Horner threesome which captures the sheer joy of a good sex romp. While the remaining scenes are more standard, they're still quite affecting. Cal Jammer and Cameo unveil the erotic side of lingerie shopping, and Eric and Paula Price shows how arousing an oily massage can become.
It's too soft for the gonzo crowd. Not that that's a problem.
