Starring: This volume gives Julia Ann, a relative newcomer at the time, a star vehicle. She plays a reporter hunting hot news. Her pal Vixxen helps by finding stories with a sexual kick. Not that any of this matters to the sex scenes that follow. We meet sex surrogate Shelby Stevens, Aaron Colt as Julie's personal trainer and petcock, Ian Daniels as a anxious groom and Alex Sanders as a guy who longs for Vixxen the Dominatrix.
Nothing special. The plot is so lame the sex scenes erupt in spite of it. Erupt is probably the wrong word since the sex isn't the most exciting. Raunch? Not here.
Maybe it was the direction, or lack of it, but few of the scenes crackled. When Julia and Vixxen explore each other in a shower, it's lackluster. Where's the seuxual hunger? It's the same as when Julia and Colt get down to it. It's all motions, no heart. Was the cast bored? Tired?
At least Ian is convincing as the nervous groom who hires Shelby to show him a few moves for the honemoon. Also, the brief trip into S&M between Vixxen and Alex is edgy enough to hold your attention.
But overall the action is too ordinary and placid.
