Boy Wonder's Movie Review (1)

Boy Wonder's Rating:  4-5 Stars

Starring: Starring Lene Hefner, Lacy Rose, Sierra, Brittany O'Connell, Mark Davis, Nick East, Steven St. Croix and Jon Dough. This was a well acted movie with alot of emphasis on plot and dialogue and all of it was done professionally.

Very good Vivid values. The lighting is superb as are the camera angles, a nice mix of full body shots and close-ups. There are only four scenes, but they are all shot well and the outfits the women wear are quite sexy.

The movie's plot is this. Mark Davis and Lene Hefner are a couple, but after an explosion at Mark's factory he becomes horribly disfigured, causing vain Lene to run from him screaming. Since no woman will have him the way he is, he pays a girl (Lacy) to have sex with two studs (Steven & Nick) while he stands nearby and watches. He then decides to get plastic surgery so that he himself can get back into action. With the bit of face work done he feels like a new man (and looks like one too since it's Jon Dough who now takes over the roll). His first priority is to get some serious satisfaction from some lovely ladies, which he gets in the form of Brittany and Sierra. He then meets up with Lene, of course he remembers her, but she has no idea who he is. They pair up and eventually nature takes its course and they fall into bed also. Oh, there is also another Lene scene at the start of the film which I forgot to mention. It's with Mark before the explosion.

I liked the twisted plot and the fact that Dough gets to dump Lene at the end like she dumped Davis at the beginning. Sweet revenge seeing as they are supposed to be playing the same role. . . confused yet?

Nothing. . . . well, they could have thrown in one more scene to make it perfect, but that's about all.

Great flick. I rate it a 9.

Miles' Movie Review (2)

Miles' Rating:  4 Stars

Starring: Though he borrows an old sci-fi concept that challenges his low budget, Paul Thomas nonetheless delivers a solid film about a scientist, Mark Davis, who discovers the disloyalty of his girlfriend, Lene Hefner, when a lab explosion disfigures him and she bolts. Later, with the new plastic face that turns him into Jon Dough, he finds himself tackling new sexual conquests and starting over with his ex, who has no knowledge of his true identity.

Shot with minimal dialogue, "Mask" tests Thomas's ability to direct a story using visuals to cummunicate his plot points. By shooting on film, he gives the story the feel of low-budget science fiction drama.

Though Lene comes off appropriately cold, the remaining cast steams the screen. When Lacy Rose flinches at fucking the bandaged Davis, she instead gives him a blistering show by riding Steven St. Croix and Nick East. Later, with Davis wearing Dough's face, he gets to nail Sierra and Brittany O'Connell in the film's best shot scene.

That Thomas is able to pull it all off without much chatter. He threw himself a challenge and delivered.

There are plot holes. When Davis/Dough meets up with Lene again, how come she doesn't recognize his voice? Also, the big finale, where Dough finally fucks the girl who abandoned him, runs almost 30 minutes. That's way too long.

Still, it's an 8.
