All scenes are interior. The sets are adequate. Sound quality is very good. The first four sex scenes have arousing camera angles; the last scene is a dud. The movie has an entertaining story. It's a melodrama about a melodrama. The acting is sufficient. A parody of daytime drama, it follows the sexploits of the players and executives of a t. v. soap opera called "As the Loins Churn. " Sterling plays a ruthless, ambitious starlet who plots to replace the popular star, DeVell, of the highly rated serial. Sterling's plan is to subvert and seduce her way to success. Will she do it? Don't bet the casting couch on it.

"Lather" has plenty of steam. All the girls have lovely faces and curvaceous figures. Their cups runneth over. Miyagi is the sexiest girl and gives a scrumptious show of herself. Her whimpers and squeals as she bounces rcg on a D**K are delectable. Sterling is the embodiment of intensity. She's a libidinous, bleached blonde who ran out of bottled hair hue before she reached her furmuda triangle. But, she never runs out of passion. She boldly grips D**K and furiously pumps it with her loosely balled fist. Her tongue flicks and licks with delirious urgency. (Sterling and DeVell are the only girls who lick the love pump. It's a glaring omission in the oral ministrations of the other nymphs. ) When Sterling mounts up for her rcg, her hips buck, her breasts bounce, and her voice bursts with cries of desire. The girl's hot. I don't like to see blow jobs with a lot of hand motion; and Sterling's hand is a blur along the barrel of her partner's sex pistol. But, her unbridled fervor for all things sexual is enthrallng. DeVell is a disappointment. Her performance is tepid compared to Miyagi and Sterling. Considering she's the box cover girl, this is inexcusable. A marquee minx should never allow herself to be so greatly outperformed.

Sterling and Miyagi are sensational. They both look good and bump and grind better.

The threesome with Sterling, DeVell and Drake is a flop. The performers are fine. The positions and editing are awful. DeVell's best features are her buxom breasts. They are mostly obscured from view by her positions: "69" and face down, ass up "K9". Both girls have round, full bottoms that Drake fingers. Their full moons should be on display awhile. They're not. They're only up briefly. The back and forth editing is a distraction.

The movie is snatched from underneath DeVell by Sterling and Miyagi. Talk about life imitating erotic kitsch, Sterling does in reality what she struggles to do in the story: steal the show. I rate this movie a larcenous 7.
