Starring: Here's one from the mid-'80s worth hunting down. Eric Edwards' plays a lonely husband whose wife has abandoned him for a younger guy, which leaves Edwards seeking solace wherever he can get it. Sweet-faced Ariel Knight is his step-daughter, angry, her mom left Edwards, and equally upset dad has turned to other women in mom's absence. That leads Ariel to her own sexual self-discoveries. The cast includes Sharon Mitchell, Jeanna Fine, Scott Irish and Buddy Love.

This is well-scripted serious character piece that will likely bore the raincoaters. But those who like richer plots should seek this out.

In one great scene, Ariel fingers herself while thinking of her own ex-lover, Scott Irish, exposing her as a sensous woman. Her conversations with confidant Sharon Mitchell reveal the collision of emotions to come. Does she really feel "that way" about her step-dad?

The plot take no easy route from the emotional mess in which the characters find themselves. That makes the sex scenes sizzle. The girl-girl between Mitchell and Ariel explodes with passion, and Jeanna Fine makes a welcomed appearance as one of Edwards' playmates. Edwards is superb unleashing his sexual aggression.

As it heads for the climax, the story makes a hot but predictable turn.

Still, it's a 9, a showcase for Ariel Knight who unfortunately did not stay in the business too long.
