Starring: Tom Byron and Jerry Butler reprise their roles from the first "Kinky Business" as Matt and Vince, a pair of brothers at odds over the directions their lives and loves are taking. (Beyond those roles, this "sequel" has little to do with the first film. ) Their women include Bunny (Sharon Kane), Vince's estranged and rather dissolute wife, and Jill (Rachel Ryan), his new girl, a rather trusting, slightly innocent young thang. Matt is looking for true love, and he searches among the likes of Grace Heart, Renee' Morgan, Fifi Bardot, and Brandy Alexander. Cheri Taylor plays a whorish stripper, Randy West her sleazy manager, and Joey Silvera a whacked-out musician friend of the brothers. This is another plot-heavy couples film (written by Raven Touchstone), and the acting is generally up to par. Rachel shows she can play someone besides a superhorny slut, and Sharon shows how she grew into one of the best actresses in porndom. Joey and Tom are solid pros, but Jerry has the showiest male role and does it well.

The videograpy, editing, and direction (by Henri Pachard) are serviceable. The vid is set mainly in the apartment shared by Matt and Vince and in the "Kinky Business" stripclub they operate. The sets are serviceable too, nothing special for a porn vid of this type.

There's a lot of script in this film, which will please storylovers and send strokers streaking for the VCR remote. Some of the scenes are very hot, but it takes a while to get going. (I'll stick to performer names for clarity. ) Tom wakes up with the seldom-seen Grace Heart (I guess), who loves fucking him but doesn't have the time or desire for anything but a strictly sexual relationship with him (and we don't see much here save for Grace's buxom body). Tom is bored with sex for its own sake. He later brings a stripper (Renee') home from the club but falls asleep on top of her. Renee' is always wonderfully kinky but her scene here is more for a dramatic point than to get you off. Meanwhile, Jerry hangs out with Rachel, and while they enjoy an enthusiastic screw, it's obvious she's far more in love with him than he is with her. In fact -- though it takes a long time for him to realize it -- he's still hung up on his estranged wife. Sharon Kane looks great in this vid, but she also ably portrays a woman in deep trouble with drugs and depression, and still dependent on her husband, even when he sets her up in a hot threesome with himself and the musician (Joey). Contemptuous of Tom's desire for a "real" relationship, Jerry suggests his younger brother consult a video dating service. Although he is beginning to establish a bond with Rachel, Tom starts dating "video bimbos" and scores bigtime with Fifi in a very hot scene, with lotsa cowgirl. Meanwhile, Sharon takes up with the stripper and her manager, leading to a scorching threesome in which Randy gets his cock and balls doublesucked by Sharon and Cheri before coming on Cheri's marvelous tits. Tom meets a kinky lady (Brandy Alexander) who insists that Tom strap on a dildo before fucking her. Brandy is eager and gorgeous, though the scene isn't as hot as Pachard probably intended. When she wants to use the dildo on Tom, he decides she's not the woman for him. Finally, he realizes that Rachel is the woman he really wants, and they acknowledge their mutual attraction in a romantic hottub tryst. Jerry discovers them, of course, and in the end Rachel and Tom must go their separate ways, leaving Jerry to face up to an empty life (boo-hoo) and his chance for redemption by caring for the helpless Bunny. All in all, it's very romantic, very emotional, and very hot for what it is.

The cast here is awfully good, both in terms of acting and in terms of the gorgeous women. Sharon is at her best here, and Fifi, Cheri, and Brandi all get a chance to do their nastiest nasty. And Rachel is a real surprise in a romantic role.

This could have been a hotter film, even with a heavy script, if the creators had taken care to include a real slam-bang scene in the opening act. Too bad Grace and Renee' weren't allowed to let go. It takes way too long to get the sex action going. And, while the story really is about Jerry, it's Tom's character who gets more screen time. Jerry should have had more to do, at least one additional scene (however about a romantic coupling with Sharon to end the flick?).

Although strokers can readily find other material, couples should hang on to films like this one -- romance, hot sex, a little humor, and a fair imitation of genuine emotion and angst for a porn film. This is not a perfect vid, but it's an effort in the right direction to take porn closer to the mainstream. RATING: 7
