Starring: This overlooked oldie stars Tracy Adams (no, not that Tracey Adams) as a teen (she looks no more than 17) who seduces her mother's lover in this enticing, muted piece about family intrigue within the upper crust.
Shot with the style of an art house movie, the sex scenes are more realistic than you'll find in most adult films, sometimes tender, sometimes chilly, but always believable.
Tracy Adams (whatever became of her?) is a find as the demanding young Bella who uses her budding sexuality to hold sway over her mom and Eric Edwards, Mom's lover. Her seduction of Edwards is steamy, and the manipulation of her parents as erotic as it is devious.
The first time mom catches Bella in the act, Adams is engaged in a girl-girl with a friend, while Edwards, tied up, is forced to watch. That scene is topped by a surprising climax that's startling for its riskiness (for 1974).
The video reproduction of this film is weak. Sometimes it's difficult to see the action. It deserves better.
A 9. Clearly, a couples film that many will find too restrained. But if you like films from the early days, this is a must see.
