I would imagine that a lot of you may have already picked up this movie even before this review. The black and white box with a lovely picture of Asia was probably enough to assure that it didn't sit too long on the shelf. Of course, that doesn't mean the movie is any good, but hey, those of you who already have it, they've got your money. (Hence everyone should read my reviews and follow my orders as to what to rent, what to buy and what to avoid.) Beyond Asia, only Alexandra has much real appeal for me personally, but hey, that may be more than enough.

We open with Asia in bed with hubby Herschel Savage. All seems peachy between them, except for one thing. She is less than thrilled that he has a business meeting on a Saturday night. While he sits in bed, contemplating how lucky he is, Asia enjoys a warm bath. This really isn't a masturbation scene, more of a tease that takes us through the first several minutes of this film. While soaking, she calls gal pal Nikki Sinn to finalize girls night out plans. One problem, Nikki met a new guy and has plans with him. To help her friend through the disappointment, Nikki describes in detail her encounter with Steve Hatcher. Talk about a perfect match, I've always said Hatcher is ugly as sin, and now we have the proof. Both he and Sinn are so totally charismatically challenged, that I don't even mind so much when Karch cuts away from the sex scene to Asia in the tub. (At which time, Herschel picks up the phone and overhears the conversation.) Watching Steve lick her pussy for nearly four minutes if fine, except that his mug is front and center the whole time. Same problem when Nikki is sucking dick. That hair is just terrible, sort like framing a bad painting with a hideous frame. The tit fucking and dirty talk is a nice touch, but not nearly enough to save this highly unattractive pair. Thankfully, we do cut away to Asia now fingering her pussy in the tub. This is the only footage to this point that is remotely hot.

The post bath dialog scene is a well written, well acted confrontation between Herschel and Asia. This leaves us with the impression that he still doesn't trust her, but more importantly, it leads us to another tease scene. This time, with the mellow sounds of cool jazz in the background, Asia gets all dressed up and ready to party in a slow motion sequence that looks right out of a Playboy video. (Note- Though I despise slow motion during sex, this is good use for it, quite an effective tease.) Fans of stockings, heels or of Asia will particularly love this segment.

Herschel arrives for his night with the guys and they shoot some pool. When the babes arrive to spice up the party, guess who shows up? That's right, Asia and two of her girlfriends. They play like they don't know each other, apparently to spice up their marriage. Alexandria Silk pairs off first, taking Steve Drake upstairs to get the full tour of his place. (Over fifty minutes in and we are only to our second sex scene.) The lighting is a bit dim, but at this point, anything is going to look good. Alexandria is super vocal as Micky finger fucks her tight twat to a sticky froth. Rather than give him a nice long blowjob, she works him over with her feet. Footjobs, not my thing, but there you go, if you like them, watch this, you'll blow nuts I'm sure of it. Using her long hair for reigns, Micky takes her from behind and does a serious job of laying the wood to his new friend. After turning her over for a brief mish fuck, he whips off his condom and drops a rather copious load on her belly.

Downstairs, Drake is about to hit it with Asia, but Herschel grabs her and drags her off. Their obvious lust for each other is hot, but I can see already that the Marilyn Starr/Steve Drake pairing is going to break one of my steadfast rules and split up the action. Sorry to lose that whole objectivity thing, but after all the teasing and build up to split Asia's scene with sub-par on her best day Marilyn is beyond tragic, it's actually infuriating. It's all I can do to sit through her part, just waiting to see what is lost by this stupid, pointless cutting style. Herschel couldn't even wait to get his new bride home, and has her half naked in the back of their car. He takes his time tasting her sweet lips, savoring them just long enough for the temperature to really start rising around here. Of course, with that rising heat comes the terrible realization that we have to cut away from this scene to one that is totally inferior. Switching back to Asia sucking dick is a big improvement. Even in the dim light of the car, she looks great and seems to be having the time of her life. (And some say she can't act.) From here on out, I am going to just tell you about this scene since the other is simply a lame distraction. The low light has some negative effects on the longer shots as she squat fucks Herschel, but the close ups look fine and Asia is quite vocal and active as she fucks him silly. Same positives and negatives when it's his turn to lay some big time pipe to his beautiful costar. A popshot on her belly and it's time to head home.

Of the four sex scenes, two of them are totally unwatchable. Nikki Sinn needs to take her act on the road and never again curse our scene with her presence. Marilyn Starr falls victim more to super bad timing for the unforgivable crime of splitting up the sex scenes. Alexandria Silk gives a pretty decent performance and there is a really nice Asia scene buried between the footage of Ms. Starr. I suppose this movie is more for couples, and the dialog works well. The little game played by the lead couple is mildly entertaining, and it is a technically sound movie. (The low lighting in the Asia scene was on purpose.) Still, with no anal, no facials, only two remotely strokeable scenes and the horrid crime of ruining the best sex, I can't begin to tell you what a let down this movie is.

Starring: Asia Carrera is not only one of the sexiest looking porn babes of the '90s, but an exceptional actress. Here, she's in the spotlight as Herschel Savage's sexually frustrated wife. It seems he's always out on business when she wants him inside her. The story follows Asia one night when hubby is heading out and she makes plans with her girlfriends, plans that fill Savage with jealousy and end in surprise.

A typical low-budget production with limited sets, but solid camera work. Director Roy Karch obviously loves Asia's body. Watch how he shoots her soaking in a tub or dressing for her night out.

Asia makes it blister. She makes pals Nikki Sinn and Marilyn pale in comparison.

The main plot twist. It seems Savage is really having a night out with the boys and some female company. It turns out that Asia is one of the girls. Though they pretend not to know each other, the sexual tension created is scorching. When it explodes, Asia's at her best.

But not all the sex scenes are as blistering. Nikki Sinn does a so-so standard hump with Steve Hatcher, and Marilyn Starr's twosome with Steve Drake fails to achieve the sexual aggression of Asia and Savage.

A 7. This is a mixed bad with a top notch performance by Asia. If you're a fan of hers, watch it. All others might want to pass.
