Pirate video has been the arm of the Private family that seems determined to always keep us guessing. Frank Thring takes the helm for this three part, kink filled sex romp. With the Pirate label one of the more inconsistent in the Private family, Thring is at least, a good bet to put this tape in the better pile. As usual, this Thring effort appears from the box, to have more than a taste of fetish appeal to it.
Thring starts off the first story by warning Dru Barrymore not to stay in the garden past five o'clock. When she fails to heed his warning, the sexy blonde immediately starts seeing things. Of course, since her hallucinations are of a couple, (Vanda and an uncredited stud.) in the middle of a high energy fuck, going mad with her doesn't seem like such a bad thing. Vanda has on bright blue knee high boots and some sort of bodice/lace skirt number. (Eruo-fashions. I'll never get them.) After some great close ups during the RCA, Vanda takes a healthy dose on her face. After watching him rub it in for a while, Dru flees back to the house.
In the house, she finds a less attractive, Carmen, decked out in leather, with two men licking her boots. While the action isn't bad, I'm starting to get a little pissed that the one woman I really WANT to see fuck is still sitting on the sidelines. The guys fuck Carmen pretty good, but to be honest, she is way below Private standards from the neck up. Lots of close ups, but these are offset by way too much slow motion. See, slo-mo is fine in softer, couple's driven porn, but this is supposed to be hard-core. Give me a break. Unless you have a leather fetish, there are a hundred Private scenes with equally hard sex and much better looking women. Long DP here with a double facial, but it's marginal at best. Sorry, not using Dru here is just criminal.
Dru is back in the second story as well as a motorist, stranded with her man. They find a mysterious mansion and decide to go in. (Clue here, when the gate opens by itself, get your sorry ass back to the Mystery Machine, grab a Scooby snack and knock boots with Daphne.) Inside, they are treated with great hospitality, which may have more to do with the fact that the guy is drooling over Dru than any sense of human kindness, but who cares, so long as the blonde gets buck-ass soon. When he has his girl Melory give Frank a blow job, they look shocked, but no one does a thing to stop it. In fact, Dru drops to return the favor with her husband. The side by side oral action is by far the best thing thus far in this video, even if we still go slo-mo at times. Both women double up on Frank and give a great, wet blowjob before everyone pairs off for some synchronized fucking. (No, simultaneous. Synchronized would be matching each other stroke for stroke.) The next morning, Frank is on the patio, waking up when he meets Vanda, decked out in thigh high boots and ready to rock. The slow motion, windblown look just doesn't fit with all the anal fingering going on. Certainly, the fetish elements in this video are the most notable aspects of this video. For those who like thigh high boots, leather or femdom, this video will be pure paradise. For me, it was certainly less than that. Only about half the women live up to the high standards set by Private, and while the sex is generally well above average it's hard to tell what Thring is going for here. When Vivid or Wicked uses the soft, slow motion effects during sex, it's to set a mood and sometimes it works. Here, it just gets in the way of hot, hard sex. What's the point? Let the sex drive the movie. Even with the sub-par cast, that alone might have really helped. As it is, this is a marginally recommended video at best. Thank Dru for that.
