Starring: Though Michael Raven usually created an enigmatic air that gives his films the quirky texture of a wet dream, with "Voodoo Lounge," Raven falls flat. It's the story of Alex Metro and Amanda Rain, a sex-happy couple who stop in at the title motel bar after getting lost on a highway. Once nestled in their bed, they have sexual hallucinations and are visited by sex-starved specters. It also features John Strong, Nick East, Bunny Love and Mirage.
Though passable, it's not nearly as dreamy as his best work, "Watchers" and "Dare. " Raven does his best to hide it, but you can see he's working with a small set and an undeveloped idea.
Where it is hot, it's due to the three main girls--Rain, Mirage, and Love--not the story.
Rain has the two best scenes. She dreams of wrestling dueling cocks in a hot threeway, and in one key scene drives Metro, who's behind the wheel of their car, so crazy with a blowjob that he pulls onto a dark backroad for some on-the-road humping. Bunny Love also scores as a ballsy denizen of the lounge who need a cock real bad.
The thin storyline gives away the twist ending an hour before we get there.
