Miles' Movie Review (1)

Miles' Rating:  4-5 Stars

Starring: Kelly Nichols is succulent as an up-and-comer at an architectual firm who has both brains and beauty. But as a woman dedicated to dating only married men, particularly wealthy Randy West and boss Eric Edwards, Kelly discovers her life is slowly sinking toward loneliness.

This superbly written and well directed film will likely turn off the raincoaters, but is worth seeing by anyone who enjoyed porn when it had real characters. Though the sex is standard issue and flashbacks repetitive, the film has heart and soul that gives it a rich sensuality.

By tapping into the soul of a mistress, it shows off the glamour--Kelly gets to fly in private planes and wear lavish jewelry--and the disappointment. That touch of reality makes this a erotic gem.

The film's highlight comes early on when Nichols discovers boyfriend Edwards wants her along on a business trip to share her with potential partner Mike Horner. The scene is played with surprising subtlety as he pretends to enjoy Horner's self-absorbed fuck.

Jack Remy directs most of the sex scene with style, but too much restraint. And he wastes Juliette Anderson, who has a terrific scene where she educates Nichols on the sad realities of being the other woman. It leaves you wanting for more.

Still, this is a winner that will appeal to women turned off by porns harsher side. And Nichols is wonderful. A 9.
