Starring: Even when Paul Thomas isn't working with a fully developed script, his stylized sex scenes are an alluring alternative to the cheap gang-bang gonzo quickies that clutter video store shelves. "Night Train" is a typical Thomas production with gorgeous women in slow steamy couplings which make it easy to overlook the plot problems. And this one has some problems; there's not a lot going on. Ashlyn Gere returns as a woman haunted by sexual dreams as she travels through the night. Her playthings include Thomas regulars Christina Angel, Joey Silvera, Alex Jordan, Tabitha Cash, Brittany O'Connell, Steven St. Croix and Colt Steele as a mysterious interloper.
The plotline is a slim thread on which Thomas hangs some fairly hot sex, but he still paints in enticing shades. Few films look as good as his. Still, the sex scenes feel disconnected from each other.
But the sex scenes are creative. When Gere thinks back on Silvera, her horny old college professor, we get to replay the teacher/student fantasy. Later, it's into a slimy public toilet where Ashlyn watches Nict East pop open Tabitha's back door. The scenes may be hard to link into the plot, but they are blistering to watch.
The best scene may be the aggressive girl-girl between Alex Jordan and Christina Angel. It's full-bodied with lots of tongues and swellen pussies. How can Gere resist? Of course, she doens't.
The finale with Gere confronting dream lover Colt Steele is too predictable a cap on this otherwise steamy series of couplings.
A 7. Worth seeing.
