Starring: Jerry Butler, who has never been in business, takes over his ailing father's ad agency. Shauna Grant and Kelly Nichols are models trying out for a new ad campaign. Marlene Willoughby is tough ad exec, and Tiffany Clark is the agency's receptionist. Michael Knight is Jerry's friend Brad, a real womanizer. Rhonda Jo Petty is a bartender Brad does ina ladies room, and Tish Ambrose is Jerry's domineering girlfriend. Everybody in the cast does nicely both in the sex scenes and acting.
Except for the hardcore scenes, this would have worked as an R-rated mainstream film. The plot, script, music, acting, production and direction are dandy. The camera work, sets, lighting, etc. looke like regular issue Hollywood.
This belongs to a genre of sex film rarely made today-a romantic comedy. The idea must have been to have enoguh hardcore sex scenes to interest men and enough romance to interest women. There is not much here, though, of interest to raincoaters. The hottest scene features Knight and Nichols at a disco with a crowd looking on. The most memorable scene is a fantasy scene where Jerry is a deset shiek, Clark is his slave, and Shauna is his captive-a very fine scene, imaginative and sexy.
As soon as Jerry sees Shauna, he forgets Tish and falls in love, and I don't blame him. Her beauty and sweetness are magical. Her death at such a young age was a real tragedy.
As an example of its type, it is perfect. Of course, if you cringe at the idea of mixing romance with your porn, avoid this like the plague.
This film is like Shauna herself- a 10.
