I've been catching up on my Jim Powers flick this month and have seen some pretty interesting stuff. This one is a pretty straight forward flick. The man who brought us the YA and Assy lines is certainly accustomed to doing young girl flicks. When he isn't constrained by the existing formulas, Powers does a lot with a very small budget. I know that most people who did his flicks just love the hard sex, sometimes freaky action and irreverent attitude toward just about everything. I rather enjoy the way he makes entertaining movies that just happen to have great sex in them. Instead of making another all-sex teen vignette movie, Powers has actually put together a little plot. Grated, it plays like a few vignette scenes strung together, but you have to applaud the effort. With Gia Paloma and Ashley Blue leading the way, these school girls are going to do things that those uptight bitches in after school specials never did.
Gia and her friend Heather like hanging out together, but Heather has her eye on Gia's dad. That may cause problems later, but for now we get to see what happens to their friend Tyla when she skips school. Office Van Damage is on hand to punish the bad blonde. There is a nice little flow to this movie that can almost be called a story. At least the performers are playing roles to give them a little depth.
