As theme based porn videos go, the "Rocco Loves" series from Vivid may be the only one to revolve around the male. I mean, you can't expect too much. The production quality wasn't anything extraordinary. No special effects or romantic music that a women would look for.

It's pretty intense on a couple of scenes but overall the eroticism remains low. There are a couple of scenes where you'll fast foward them, even if you're by yourself. The NORMAL porn plot keeps the eroticism at a minimal though someone who's never seen a porn movie before may get a kick out of it.

I liked the scenes where the porn star's "acting" was really tested. Like when "the big gangster boss" plays a big shot w/the man in charge of producing a "hit" movie that will make him a lot of money. It's quite funny hearing the threats passed back and forth about making a deadline and this and that. It seemed like a one cut take. They had one chance to get it right and that was it.

The ridiculous amount of fourplay about halfway through the movie w/a couple that I have a hard time thinking that anyone would find stimulating. It occurs in the kitchen of the house and the couple hop up on every appliance they can find just to break it all in, so to speak. That's your que, if you purchase this movie, to fast foward.

Though the scenes with Chasey are pretty erotic you can tell that her interest is steering away from porn and into more mainstream films. It seems to me, and hey, who's listening or reading my thoughts anyway, that she puts less and less into her movies as time goes by. Her looks make her sex scenes very desirable but if you put a descent looking girl in her place you'd really have to struggle to find any reason for watching her.

The production values are up to Vivid's usual standard - excellent. The editing of the DVD is a butcher job, with several scenes missing key elements. The last scene between Jeanna and Rocco is the prime example. Jeanna's superb oral action on Rocco has been deleted entirely. The outtakes that were part of the VHS closing credits are missing, so you don't get to see some real goodies.

Chasey is beautiful and looks as is she's almost enjoying herself this time, especially her scene with Jeanna. Jeanna's scene with Rocco, which cause the VHS versioin to boil over, is not almost boring in comparison. By comparison, the scene with the seldom seen Caroll Dee Boise is not the hottest of the DVD.

Having seen the VHS version first, this one pales in comparison. The DVD version advertises lots of extras at a lower price, but the extra junk turns out to be just that. . . extra junk - mostly promos for other Vivid videos. The Advertised "multiple angles" couldn't be found on two different DVD players and a computer. Either my DVD is defective, or they just aren't there.

Because of the edits, excessive promos, and not delivering on both the content of the film as compared to the VHS version and the missing "multiple angles", it gets a 3 at best.
