All the girls in this film (it was a '70's flick) give spirited performances. Olinka is the star and she shines brightest and burns hottest of all the sexpots.
The picture is clear and the sound is adequate. The film has a mix of exterior and interior scenes (2 outside, 6 inside). The camera angles and editing are both consistently good and sometimes excellent. It has a plot that's uneven, but dialogue that is on occasion surprisingly thoughtful in its exploration of sexual relationships between men and women.
"Burning Snow" is a silly title for a very good erotic film. The contradictory name refers to its setting in a snow-covered mountain ski resort. Olinka plays dual roles: Muriel, who is chaste, engaged to be marrid, lodges at the resort; and Lorna, the sex kitten, one year ago stayed at the resort and built a notorious reputation of debauchery. Some are conviced that Muriel and Loarna don't just look alike, but are the same person, and these folks are determined to expose the bare truth. Olinka's performance is sensational. She's gloriously beautiful in face and figure, and smolders in her two sex scenes and one strip tease.
Olinka, Olinka and, oh. . . Olinka, she's curvaceous, flirtatious, and audacious. The gir is special. Also, the exterior sex scenes have intrinsic appeal. Both are boy-girl gropes, guys that can perform in frigid snowy conditions? Yes. . . seein' in believin'.
There was not nearly enough of Olinka. A strip tease and two sex scenes left me wanting much more of this snow nymph. Furthermore, the other girls didn't come close to her loveliness. Sure, Marilyn Monroe couldn't either, but their average-to-good features were anticlimatic. The film needed hotter babes.
Olinka is a blonde we dream come to life. If this film had more of her or if it had prettier girls in addition to her, it would be flawless. As is, I give it a superior sever.
